Taylormade Coronavirus (Covid-19) update - 29th June 2020

Taylormade are delighted to learn that from the 4th of July 2020, small wedding ceremonies with up to 30 people have been given the green light to go ahead. Government advice states that social distancing must remain in place and the 30 people in attendance must include the registrars, wedding venue staff, and suppliers. The ceremony should be kept "as short as reasonably possible" and limited to just the parts that are legally binding. Where singing or chanting is required, only one person is permitted to do so and the venue should install a clear screen for the performer to be positioned behind. The advice also states that currently, wedding receptions cannot take place with any more than 2 households in attendance. Source: BBC News, 29th June 2020 - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53217342

All of this is, of course, less than ideal, and the continued uncertainty for our couples who are still hoping to go ahead this year must be devastating. We are, however, heartened that there is no longer a blanket ban on weddings and delighted to finally see a small light at the end of the tunnel for our couples, ourselves, and all of the suppliers in the wedding industry. We are hopeful that these guidelines will continue to be eased over the coming weeks and months, with larger numbers permitted, wedding receptions, and evening celebrations able to go ahead with as little disruption as possible, and full live music performances allowed. We will be constantly monitoring the situation as it develops, liaising with venues, and keeping up to date with the latest government guidelines so please keep an eye on this page, as well as our social media for the latest updates.

As it stands, all of our couples who had weddings booked until the 25th of August 2020 have now been given support to postpone their date. However, for those with weddings after this date, we are hoping to go ahead as planned and have updated our Covid-19 policy in light of the new government advice, as follows:

  • For those who have their weddings booked within the next 4 weeks, we are giving our Brides & Grooms the opportunity to postpone, at no additional charge, to a comparable* 2021 date if their wedding is unable to go ahead. *Dependent On Taylormade’s Availability

  • If the date is further than 4 weeks away, then your booking is secure until we reach this 4-week window and will refer to current guidance from the government at this time.

Please note: As soon as we are within the 4-week window, it's really important that you contact us with your intended plans/dates. By not checking our availability, you may find we are unavailable which would lead to a lot of heartache for both yourselves and us.

We hope that our couples are managing to stay positive during this unsettling time and that all of our remaining weddings in 2020 will be able to go ahead as planned. It's been an incredibly uncertain time for us all and the day when we can finally celebrate with you as you say 'I do' will be the most magical day ever.

Please do keep us up to date with your thoughts and plans, we are always happy to help or give advice where we can.

Take care,

Carley, Matt, and the boys.
